Canvas Frame Natural is a new frame suitable for canvases up to 20mm deep, available in standard canvas sizes in a raw finish that can be painted by the artist to tie in with the canvas image. Fittings are not provided as some can distort depending on the canvas and stretcher, and not all the thicknesses of canvas and stretcher are the same.
The canvas profile is made in a tray format, simply slot the canvas in the frame from the front and affix from the rear and then hang with the chosen hanging mechanism. We recommend two fitting options, the conventional way is to mark the frame where it meets a solid area of the back of the canvas, then drilling through the picture frame once the positioning is correct, line the canvas and frame accurately together and screw into the wood at the back of the canvas with wood screws (you may need to do a starter hole by lining up the canvas and frame and with a small drill bit, drill through the previously drilled holes in the frame to the back of the canvas).
On smaller and lighter canvasses we recommend using sticky back Velcro where the hook and loop mechanism strips are stuck to the frame and canvas lining them up for a strong connection.  Finally add the hanging mechanism of your choice.
Our stylish and contemporary profile has a flat and fashionable narrow face measuring 10mm, the frame is L shape, 33mm deep (25mm on the inside) 36mm wide (26mm on the inside). This sustainable wood natural (raw wood) frame complements most imagery and works particularly well with landscapes and seascapes and natural imagery, as it falls into our price band C so is good value and is also available in white and black.
There is no glass in a canvas frame. To keep the frame pristine each frame has cardboard corners and is then shrink wrapped to keep clean and dust free.
