Aperture Size: 20" x 16" (508x407mm) Colour: White Finish: Open Grain Style: Contemporary Glass: Standard Mount: None

Our new Canvas Frame White is a great option to enhance canvas imagery, it has an open grain finish on the wooden base so the natural grain of wood shows through, it is suitable for ten standard canvas sizes and up to 20mm in depth.
The canvas frame is what's known as a tray frame simply drop the canvas in and it sits on top of the tray, it is then fixed from behind. As there is a lot of variation in the back of canvasses and thicknesses of the spacer we do not provide fittings or pre drill holes as there is no standard place to position the holes. We recommend that with smaller and lighter canvasses using hook and loop Velcro that has a strong sticky backing, the hook side can be stuck to the canvas tray frame and the loop on the canvas lining up the strips with each other, (the heavier the canvas the more Velcro strips should be used). This has the advantage that it can be re-positioned if necessary.
The alternative way is to mark the tray frame where it meets a solid area of the canvas, then drill through the frame once the positioning is correct, again line the frame tray and the canvas accurately together and screw into the wood at the back of the canvas with wood screws (you may need to do a starter hole by lining up the canvas and frame and then drilling through the tray frame holes with a small drill bit to accurately make a starter hole for the screws).
To hang on the wall select a suitable hanging mechanism. The profile has a fashionable flat narrow face so as not to detract from the canvas, and measures 10mm The frame is L shape, 33mm deep (25mm on the inside) 36mm wide (26mm on the inside). This frame complements a wide range of images, working particularly well with seascapes and landscapes, it also works very well with black and white images and other paintings and prints realistic or abstract. This canvas frame falls within our price band C so is therefore good value and is also available in black and natural raw wood.
There is no glass in a canvas frame, for protection each frame has cardboard corners and is shrink wrapped to keep clean and dust free.
